The Mỹ Đình - National Stadium ( San Van Dong Vietnamese Mỹ Đình ) is the national stadium of Vietnam, it is located in the district of Tu Liem about 10 km north- west of the center of Hanoi Capital. Opened in September 2003, the stadium is the central institution of the National Sports Complex ' of Vietnam and has a capacity of 40 192 seats, 450 VIP seats and 160 seats for the press. The stadium was officially opened on 2 September 2003 with a match between the Vietnamese U23 and Shanghai Shenhua from China.
