Myjava District

The Okres Myjava is an administrative region in the north- west of Slovakia with 28 527 inhabitants ( 2004) and an area of 326 km ².

It is located in Miawaer hills ( Myjavská pahorkatina ) and is bordered to the north by the Czech Republic, to the east by the district Nové Mesto nad Váhom, to the south by the districts of Piešťany and Trnava Trnavský kraj and to the west by lying in the same Regional Association districts Senica and Skalica.

Historically, it lies in the former county Neutra (see also List of historic counties of Hungary ).
