N1 road (Belgium)

The N1 is a Belgian national road and leads from the Belgian capital, Brussels, Antwerp and the Dutch border in Zundert, where it merges into Dutch N263 direction Breda. You, as with all single-digit national roads, the longest national highways in Belgium, which extend radially from Brussels to the borders or the sea. It was built in 1811 as part of the route from Paris to Amsterdam impériale 2.

It runs over long distances parallel to the highway A1 Brussels - Antwerp - Breda and crosses this several times. The A1 is a fast alternative to the N1.

Course

The road begins in the district of Brussels sheets and then leads north to Antwerp. The road leads directly to the city center and then continue towards the north-east, the Dutch border and then continues on to Breda.
