Nadere Reformatie

The closer Reformation ( Dutch: Nadere Reformatie ) was a movement within the Dutch Reformed Church of the 17th and 18th centuries.

The closer Reformation placed great emphasis on the impact of the biblical message to all aspects of daily life. The Reformation of Martin Luther and John Calvin led to a break with the Roman Catholic Church and various aspects of their theology. The Reformation was first and foremost a renewal in the field of teaching.

The Reformation was directed more to the doctrine on the life, real life change. The more detailed the impact of the Reformation intended biblical principles in family, society, church, politics and the state. The preachers and theologians of the Reformation nearby called for repentance and remorse.
