Nadia Zakhary

Nadia Eskandar Zkhary is since 7 December 2011, the Egyptian Minister of Scientific Research. It is since 2 August 2012, an independent member of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister Kandil Kandil Hescham; previously it was in the Second Cabinet Ganzuri under Kamal Ganzuri.

Zachary is the only member of the Coptic Christian faith in the 35 - member cabinet, although the belief belong to about ten percent of Egyptians. In addition to Nagwa Chalel it is also the only female member of the Cabinet.

Nadia Zachary received a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Cairo.
