Nadig Kruttika

Kruttika Nadig ( born February 17, 1988 in Bombay ) is an Indian chess player.

Life

After studying at Symbiosis College in Pune studied Economics at Jyothi Nivas Kruttika Nadig College in Bangalore, the former Bangalore. She then studied journalism and worked for the business newspaper The Economic Times. The rules of chess she learned from her mother, a school principal and English teacher. Achievements

In 2003, she won the Indian Youth Championship and played for the national team at the Indian girls U16 Olympiad in Denizli. In 2004 she won the Indian junior championship. In the same year she was awarded the Young Achiever Infosys Award in the category U18. In December 2008, she won in New Delhi, the 35th Indian Women's Championship with a point ahead of Tania Sachdev. In August 2009, she won against Tania Sachdev a zone tournament in New Delhi. For the Indian women's national team, she played among others at the World Team Championship 2009 in Ningbo.

Since August 2005, it bears the title of International Women's Champion (WIM). The standard to be reached at the 30th Indian Women's Championship 2003 in Kozhikode, in her fourth place finish at the Junior World Championship 2004 in Kochi and the A- Open in Pardubice 2005. She was the first woman from the state of Karnataka, the WIM title obtained. With the win, the 35th Indian Women's Championship 2008, she also has all the necessary standards for the Woman Grandmaster title which she was awarded in March 2009.
