Naengmyeon

Naengmyeon or Raengmyŏn is a Korean noodle dish.

There are two types of preparation: mul naengmyeon ( 물 냉면 ) and bibim naengmyeon ( 비빔 냉면 ), the latter Gochujang, contains a sharp chili paste.

Thin, chewy buckwheat noodles are served in an ice-cold, flavored with vinegar and mustard broth with slices of Korean pear, cucumber, beef and egg.

Previously you ate the Court, especially in winter, as it was believed that one could overcome cold with cold food heat hot food. Today, it is preferable to eat on hot summer days.

In particular, the North Korean capital Pyongyang is known for Naengmyeon.

In pop culture

For the South Korean mission Muhan Dojeon took Park Myeong -su and Jessica of Girls' Generation on a song titled " Naengmyeon ", which is named after the judgment. The became very popular used in South Korea and on commercials for cold noodles.
