Naer Mataron
Naer Mataron is in Athens, founded in 1994 as Nar Mataron, Greek Black Metal band.
History
The band was founded in 1994 by the two musicians Morpheas (guitar, bass) and Lord Alatoth (vocals ). As another occupation Kaiadas ( electric bass) and Lethe (drums) were added and the band got a record deal with Black Lotus Records. After the band's name was changed to Naer Mataron, the debut album Up from the Ashes was released in 1998 without Lord Alatoth, followed by some live performances with bands like Mayhem, Rotting Christ and Order of the Ebon Hand.
In 2000, the album Skotos Aenaon followed with the singer Aithir ( Nikos Konstadinou, including at the Legion of Doom and later in The Shadow Order) and 2003 River at Dash Scalding, in which the drummer was replaced with Warhead, which at a live appearance with Rotting Christ first played in the band. As a singer now Morpheas was committed and on the album appeared two songs that were composed by Nordvargr. Nordvargr became the new drummer of the band and it was followed by appearances with Gorgoroth, Arcturus and Dissection.
In 2005, the album Discipline Manifesto, which was recorded in part in Oslo appeared. At the Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo, Norway 2005, she appeared together with Morbid Angel, Candlemass, Dissection and other bands. Music style and ideology
The band was founded with the aim to play pure Hellenic Black Metal, but her style is a mix of the typical Greek bands like Varathron and Thou Art Lord and the Nordic Black Metal or based on the latter. Through the cooperation of Indra and Asmodeus Draco Dux the style of the band was brutal. The meaning of the name is Kaiadas with Hades. The lyrics revolve around the Greek Pantheon and values such as pride and honor on the basis of earlier periods and heroes of European history and contain references to Friedrich Nietzsche and Julius Evola.
