The Nagold is a 90 km long river in Baden -Württemberg and eponym of the city Nagold. It flows in Pforzheim city center with the smaller Enz together.

Physical Geography

General

The Nagold flows through mainly the Black Forest. Around the city Nagold around ( between the pipe village and Pfrondorf ) it flows through the Heckengäu. On Pforzheimer copper hammer it enters the Pforzheimer Enztal, which, like the Heckengäu also part of the natural space of Gäulandschaften.

The Nagold is regarded by convention as a tributary of the River Enz. Political Geography

The Nagold flows through the districts of Freudenstadt, Calw and Pforzheim (city circle). Up to the large territorial upheavals around 1803 and 1806, the run was mostly on the Nagoldtalsperre altwürttembergischen area. Smaller areas were part of the Margraviate of Baden or the Order of St. John. Altensteig, Nagold, Wildenberg, Calw and love cell are altwürttembergische office cities, Hirsau and Reutin altwürttembergische monastic office locations. Transport geography
