Nagybajom

Nagybajom is a city in Hungary Somogy county in the southwest of the country.

The village with 3,465 inhabitants ( 2011), whose name literally means " my big problem ", located on the road Kaposvar to late autumn. Its first mention dates back to 1197. 1945 Nagybyjom was four months frontier city. 2001, and received its charter.

Since 1996 Nagybajom European stork village. 1998 bred here 33 pairs of storks compared to 4 in 1958. Throughout the Somogy County in 2003 there were still 380 pairs. Somogy is bordered on the south by 7933 hectare Boronka sanctuary, where are still to spot sea eagles and otters. In early June of each year is celebrated a stork party. There is an ecological city partnership with Wilhelmshaven in Lower Saxony.
