Nakop

Province

Nakop is a small town in the Northern Cape Province in northwestern South Africa. Nakop is the border post to the adjoining Republic of Namibia. The border crossing is staffed around the clock and in addition Vioolsdrift the most important South African border station towards Namibia.

Nakop is around ten kilometers east of Ariamsvlei ( the border station on the Namibian side) and about two kilometers east of the border. The border is connected via the N10 to the South African and Namibian national road B3 to the road network. Nakop is around ten kilometers north of the Orange.

In the 2011 census, the number of inhabitants was summarized along with the other small settlement spots in the non -urban area Kai! Garib.
