Nálepkovo

Nálepkovo ( until 1948 slovak " Vondrišel "; Wagendrüssel German, Hungarian Mereny - to 1877 Vagendrüssel ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia. It lies in the valley of the Hnilec, between the mountains Hnilecké Hills and Volovské Hills, about 20 km from Ves and 25 km from Gelnica.

The village was first mentioned in 1290 as Vagndruzel. In 1948, the town was named after the Slovak officer and guerrilla commander Ján Nálepka.

The municipal area includes not only the actual village and the municipality of parts Čierna Hora ( German Schwarzenberg ), Hamre ( German Hammer) and Zahajnica.
