Namlos

Namlos is a municipality with a population of 86 (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Reutte, Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Reutte, the district is Kelmen.

Name

The place name " Namlos " probably derives from the former colonizers " Amel " from. For some time the place was called " Namles " before it was renamed to the current " Namlos ". Not likely, however, is the theory that the name derive from the name " nameless village" from.

Geography

The small community is located in Namloser a side valley of the Lech Valley to 1225 m above sea level. A. The place is on both sides of the Lech Valley Stan Zach to reach (10 km) and the Zwischentoren about Berwang ( 13 km). The hamlet Kelmen connects the valley with the Namloser Rotlechtal. The Namlosertal flows with Stan Zach in the Lech Valley.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1286. The valley was settled by Imst, and by the end of the 13th century were the pastures to Imst. In contrast to the rest Außerfern earlier attracted the men from Namlos in winter in a foreign land. The dead were placed on the " Steinjöchl " after Dormitz.

On October 8, 1930 Namlos was at the epicenter of an earthquake, which is known as " Namloser quake ". 16 earthquakes measuring up to 7.5 of the twelve -part Mercalli - Sieberg scale Cancani and 5.3 of the Richter scale shook the village. From 47 chimneys collapsed then 31. The starting point of the quake is believed among nearby Knittelkarspitze.

Culture and sights

Despite its small size, the small mountain village in some respects is very active. Examples are the independent volunteer fire brigade, mountain rescue, the private hunting, the farming community and the band Namlos. The primary and lower secondary school no longer exists since 2013, however.

Economy

The place is threatened by the migration in recent years. More and more residents are drawn to the nearby metropolitan area in the district town of Reutte. The reason for this is mainly the much larger work space. The cattle will not nearly such a high priority as it was some years ago. Thus, the entire Brown cattle farmers in Namlos counts only just 10 pieces.

Tourism

Since many years, the main source of income of the place of tourism. There are two inns in Namlos ( Gasthof Kreuz und Gasthof Namloserhof ) and a guest house in the district Kelmen (Inn Weathertop ). In addition there are smaller landlords and pensions, whose range is limited to rooms and holiday apartments.

In summer, tourists will find mainly because of the large traveling range after Namlos. Popular destinations are the Namloser Weathertop, the Knittelkarspitze, the Angels top, pickups hut, the Dreiensee and the nearby mountain village Fallerschein. Athletes, cyclists, day trippers, families and numerous other groups of people appreciate the stay in Namloser valley. The Namloser road (L21 ) is a well-known and popular motorcycle route.

In winter, especially the nearby, about 13 km away Berwanger ski tourist offers.
