Nangarhar Province
Nangarhar ( Pashto ننګرهار; Dari: ننگرهار ), also Nangerhar is one of 34 provinces in Afghanistan.
The province has an area of 7727 km ² and has approximately 1.52 million inhabitants, the majority of which are Pashtuns. It lies in the east of the country, bordering Pakistan.
The provincial capital is Jalalabad. By Nangarhar the main link road from Kabul runs through the Khyber Pass to Pakistan.
