Nanyangosaurus ( "lizard of Nanyang " ) was a bird Beck dinosaurs and lived during the Cretaceous period before about 112 to 100 million years. He was discovered described in Sangping formation in the Chinese province of Henan in 2000 by the famous Chinese paleontologist Xing and Zhao, Lu, Li, Huang and Dong.

The dinosaur was integrated with respect to the nomenclature in the Iguanodontoidea, which in turn is located in the Iguanodontia. Accordingly, Nanyangosaurus could, from the zhugeii Nanyangosaurus with only one type is known quadruped ( four legged ) and bipedal ( two-legged ) move. The approximately 4.5 -meter-long dinosaur fed on herbivorous ( plant ) and probably weighed about half a ton.

Were discovered by Nanyangosaurus only parts of the skeleton, for example, no skull has yet been found. His vortex partly displayed spinous processes similar to the closely related Ouranosaurus on, but in a smaller size.
