Naramata Dam

The Naramata Dam (Japanese奈良 俣 ダム, damu ~ ) is a dam in the district ( oaza ) Fujiwara Minakami in Gunma prefecture of Japan. The shut-off, a rockfill dam is 158 m high and 520 m long.

The river Naramata (楢 俣 川, -gawa ), which part of the river system of the tone is jammed into a two -square-mile reservoir with a capacity of 90 million cubic meters. At the dam, a hydroelectric power plant with 12.2 MW capacity is being operated.
