Description

The crinoline Daffodil grows as a perennial herbaceous plant, reaching a height of up to 15 centimeters. Its flowers are deep yellow and form about three inches wide and conical funnel. This funnel widens abruptly to the corona, in which sit the tepals abruptly. They are 6 millimeters long and 0.5 millimeters wide. Their color is greenish.

Distribution area

Crinoline Daffodils can be found in North and Central Portugal, the Asturian mountains in Spain and Morocco. Unique wild stocks is also available in the south of France. Within this large area of ​​distribution of the onset of flowering time is very different. North African stocks begin their bloom in November, while on the high altitudes of the Pyrenees, this begins in July.

There are a very large number of varieties, which differ from the nominate mainly in flower color and size.
