Narzym

Narzym [ naʒɨm ] ( German Wildenau ) is a town in the municipality Ilowo - Osada in Poland. It is located eight kilometers southeast of the city Działdowo ( Soldau ) and belongs to the powiat Działdowski, Warmian -Masurian on.

History

The town was first mentioned as Wildenau 1419, later renamed after a change of ownership in Narzym. Shortly after the founding of a church was mentioned in the village. Through the Reformation in the Duchy of Prussia, the parish became Lutheran. For parish also included the locations: Brodau, Chorapp, Hausburg, Illowo, Kraszewo, Ludwigshof, Purgalken, Rywoczin, Sczepka, Sochen, Wiersbau, Zworaden.

17th January 1920, the place was as a result of the Versailles Treaty without a referendum on Poland. It was after the beginning of World War II in September 1939 again part of East Prussia and was back to the district Neidenburg. In January 1945 Narzym was occupied by Soviet troops and Polish in the sequence.
