Naseeruddin Shah

Naseeruddin Shah ( Urdu: نسیروالدین شاه Hindi, नसीरुद्दीन शाह, Nasiruddin saw, born July 20, 1950 in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh ) is an Indian actor. It belongs alongside Shabana Azmi, Om Puri and Smita Patil of the leading performers of the New Indian Cinema.

Life

After his acting studies at the National School of Drama in Delhi ( completion 1973) and the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, he was discovered by Shyam Benegal. He debuted in the film Nishant (1975 ) and entered into the following years also in Benegals Bhumika (1976) Manthan (1976 ), Junoon (1979) and Mandi (1983 ) on. In 1980 he played the title role in Saeed Akhtar Mirza's Albert Pinto Ko Kyon Aata Hai Degussa.
