Nasva is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Käina ( Käina vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).
Description
Nasva has 35 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). The village's name means " sandbank ".
Nasva is known primarily for the juniper, which extends from the village to the Baltic Sea Bay of Käina ( Käina Laht ) extends. It grows there up to ten feet high, so that the area is also called " juniper forest " ( kadakamets ).
