Nasva River

The Nasva River (Estonian Nasva Jõgi ) is a river on the Estonian island of Saaremaa.
The river originates at Lake Mullutu - Suurlaht (municipality Kaarma ), the fourth largest with 1,440 hectares of water lake in Estonia. After about 3 km, the river flows near the bay Suur Katel in the Baltic Sea. There lies the settlement Nasva, a traditional fishing village with fish processing industry, many boat builders and a marina.
At low water level and particularly at West Wind a strong salt water flow from the confluence with the river flowing into it. The Nasva River is very water and fish. Its catchment area is 306 km ².
