Natalia Rodríguez (athlete)

Natalia Rodríguez Martínez ( born June 2, 1979 in Tarragona) is a Spanish middle distance runner.

In Sydney in 2000 she first participated in the Olympic Games. In the 1500 -meter run them already retired, however, from the previous round. Just one year later, it reached at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton the finals and finished sixth. The same placement she reached at the European Championships in Munich in 2002.

At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 Rodríguez was about 1500 meters tithe. About the same distance she finished each sixth place at the World Championships in Helsinki and at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Their first international medal she won at the European Indoor Championships 2009 in Turin, when she was second behind Anna Alminowa.

The supposedly biggest success of her career scoring Rodríguez at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, when she reached the finish first in the final of the 1500 -meter run. However, it was a short time later disqualified because she had before the finish the leading runner Gelete Burka brought about 200 meters at a overtaking culpably case.

At the World Indoor Championships in Doha in 2010, she won the silver medal in the 1500 meter race. About the same distance she took the bronze medal at the European Championships in Barcelona. In 2011 she won the Cursa Bombers at.
