Nataliya Dobrynska

Natalya Dobrynska (Ukrainian Наталя Добринська, English transcription Natalya Dobrynska; . * May 29, 1982 in Vinnitsa, Ukrainian SSR, USSR) is a Ukrainian heptathlete and Olympic champion.

Her first big success was the silver medal in the pentathlon at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest in 2004. At the Olympic Games in Athens, she was eighth.

In the coming years, she was more successful in the hall than outdoors. A third and a fifth place finish at the European Indoor Championships in 2005 and 2007 and a fourth place finish at the World Indoor Championships 2008 in Valencia were a ninth place finish at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki, a sixth place at the European Championships 2006 in Gothenburg, an eighth place finish at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka and a fourth place at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin against.

It achieved its greatest success at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where she won with her personal best of 6733 points, the gold medal ahead of Hyleas Fountain (USA) and Tatyana Chernova (RUS ).

At the World Indoor Championships in Doha in 2010 they improved the Ukrainian indoor record at 4851 points and won by 86 points behind the Briton Jessica Ennis the silver medal.

At the European Championships 2010 in Barcelona, she was also second.

At the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul in 2012, she won the gold medal. They set a new indoor world record in the pentathlon. As the first woman she broke the 5,000 -point mark with 5013 points.

At a height of 1.82 m her competition weight is 75 kg.
