Nathan's Famous

Nathan 's Famous is a chain of restaurants in the United States, which has mainly specialized in hot dogs.

History

It was founded in 1916 by Nathan craftsmen in Coney Iceland, New York Amusement Park in the borough of Brooklyn, and was at that time very popular. Nathan 's Famous was the largest hot dog chain in New York City and eventually spread throughout the country. She is now also abroad, to find, inter alia, in Canada.

Hot Dog Eating Contest

Became famous Nathan 's Famous also by the Coney Iceland annual "Hot Dog Eating Contest" ( engl. hot dog eating contest), in which it comes, within ten minutes (formerly twelve minutes ) as many hot dogs as possible to eat. The current record is held by Californian Joey Chestnut with 68 hot dogs.
