Nathan Mantel

Nathan jacket ( born February 16, 1919 in New York City; † 26 May 2002 Potomac ( Maryland)) was an American biostatistician. He achieved his greatest fame with the creation of the Mantel-Haenszel test and the Mantel-Haenszel odds ratio. He worked for a long time for the NCI. During his career, he published more than 380 scientific papers. He died at the age of 83 years at his home in Potomac from a heart attack.
