Nation (Paris RER)

The Nation Train Station ( Gare de French nation ) is a tunnel station in the east of Paris in the 11th and 12th arrondissements. It is served by the RER A average in 5 -minute intervals. The station is linked to the metro station Nation. The station was opened on 14 December 1969 under the Place de la Nation. At that time it was the terminus for the RER A, which only drove by Boissy -Saint- Léger. As of December 8, 1977, she is used as a through station. The station has two tracks on two side platforms.

The platform in the direction of Gare de Lyon has a width of 7 m. By contrast, the platform in the direction of Vincennes has a width of 11 m. The reason for this is that the train station was the terminus of the direction of Boissy -Saint -Léger during some years and therefore the departure platform had to be wider.
