National and University Library of Iceland
The National and University Library of Iceland ( Isl Landsbókasafn Íslands - Háskólabókasafn ) was created in 1994 from the merger of the National Library of Iceland and the library of the University of Iceland ( Isl Háskóli Íslands ) in Reykjavík. On 1 December 1994, the library was able to move into a new, modern building at the Arngrímsgata. In the collection of the library are also most of the medieval manuscripts Islands.
