National Assembly (Bulgaria)

The Narodno Sabranie ( Bulgarian Народно събрание / Narodno Sabranie, Narod of 'people' and Sabranie 'assembly' ) is the parliament of Bulgaria. It is the unicameral.

History

The Bulgarian parliament was first constituted with the Constitution of Turnovo of 1879. However, some historians give the Assembly the 64 delegates of the Revolutionary Committee of the April Uprising of 1876 at Mount Oborischte the first Bulgarian National Assembly.

Today, Parliament is regulated by the Constitution of 1991 ( Article 62 to 91). Parliament's role is in the first row, the control of the government and the adoption of laws. Architecture

The building in which convenes the National Assembly, is now a cultural monument. It was 1884-1886 according to the design of the architect Konstantin Jovanovič, who had studied in Vienna and Zurich, built. The building was built in the style of Neo - Renaissance. The interior of 1961 and 1977, converted, but the appearance was substantially preserved in its original form.
