The Auditorio Nacional is an indoor arena in Mexico City near the Chapultepecpark, which offers 10,000 spectators. The hall is located on the Paseo de la Reforma, the main thoroughfare of the Mexican capital.

History

The Auditorio Nacional was opened in 1952 and in 1954 during the Central American and Caribbean Games venue for volleyball and basketball games. 1958 occurred at the Auditorio Nacional, among other things, the San Francisco Ballet and the New York Philharmonic on.

During the Summer Olympics in 1968 were held in the Auditorio Nacional, the competitions held in gymnastics. But the hall was equipped with 3,000 additional seats mobile, so that a total of 12,450 spectators found space. As a consequence, especially international concerts, exhibitions, dance performances and film screenings were held. In 1990 the building was renovated. In the years 1993 and 2007, the Miss Universe was elected at the Auditorio Nacional.
