National emblem of Azerbaijan

The current coat of arms of the Republic of Azerbaijan was adopted in 1992. It is based on the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, which was adopted in 1918.

Components

The coat of arms of Azerbaijan today shows an eight -pointed white star on a gold-rimmed plate with rings in the national colors. On the blue ring are eight golden discs. In the star is a red flame with four tongues. Under the disc are oak branches and ears of wheat.

General meaning
