National Flag Anthem
The Flag Song (Chinese国旗 歌, Pinyin Guoqi gē ) of the Republic of China is played at the raising and lowering of the flag of the Republic of China.
Due to the pressure of the People's Republic of China because of the political status of Taiwan, this song is played at international events such as the Olympics instead of the national anthem of the Republic of China. In this and other sporting events, the Taiwanese team takes under the name " Chinese Taipei " (Eng.: Chinese Taipei) part. In parts of the population of this song is more popular than the national anthem of the Republic of China, as it is the party song of the Kuomintang ( Chinese Nationalist Party ) at the same time. The lyrics are written in classical Chinese. The last two lines refer to the symbols and the colors of the flag.
