National Historical Museum (Albania)

The National History Museum (Albanian Muzeu History Kombëtar ) in the Albanian capital Tirana is the country's largest museum. In 2012 1.037.589 9668 domestic and foreign visitors were counted.

The museum was opened on 28 October 1981. It required the demolition of 1930 in city hall. The building completes the central Skanderbeg Square in the northwest. The gigantic mosaic above the entrance is ( German Albanians ) called Shqiptarët.

The museum houses 4750 collected objects of the following eras and themes:

Exhibition of artifacts Skanderbegs 2012/13

Between 19 November 2012 and January 13, 2013 Skanderbegs some artifacts were exhibited in the museum, which were borrowed from the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the National History Museum on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Albania. Among other things, the helmet of Skanderbeg were to visit. During the two -month exhibition about 1.7 million people visited the museum. Alone on November 28, 2012, the 100th National Day, there were about 400,000 visitors.
