National Salvation Front in Syria

The National Salvation Front in Syria (Arabic جبهة الخلاص الوطني في سوريا, also National Salvation Front, French Front de salut national, symbol NEF ) is a Syrian political party, founded in Belgium and has its headquarters there.

Salvation Front was founded by Abdul Halim Khaddam, the former Vice President of Syria and interim president from June to July 2000 and from nationalist, moderate Islamist, liberal and social democratic opposition factions in exile. It aims to bring the government of Bashar al -Assad to peacefully case. The National Salvation Front had their last joint meeting on 16 September 2007 in Berlin, where about 140 opposition activists arrived. Salvation Front also has offices in France, Germany and the United States.

Since the Syrian civil war from 2011 prepares the National Salvation Front in Syria, as a political party of the Syrian opposition in exile, a series of protests and demonstrations in cities in Europe and the United States.
