The National Sports Stadium in the Zimbabwean capital, Harare, is a multi-purpose arena offering 60,000 spectators. Inside the stadium, mainly football matches are played, but also rugby union matches and concerts take place there. Thus, on October 7, 1988, a benefit concert as part of Amnesty International's Human Rights Now! given at the stadium. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, Youssou N'Dour and Oliver " Tuku " Mtukudzi occurred there.
