The World Games Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the port city of Kaohsiung on the island of Taiwan. It was built for the 2009 World Games. Here is the opening and closing ceremony was held. Architect and designer of the stadium was the Japanese Toyo Ito.

The stadium was opened on 20 May 2009 with the so-called World Games concert and firework display. The concert was disputed by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the choir of the Vienna State Opera.

During the Games, the stadium capacity was 55,000 seats. Later seats were removed and restored the default capacity of 40,000 seats.

The roof of the stadium consists of 8,844 solar panels and supplies per year 1.14 million kilowatt hours of electricity. It extends over 14,155 m2. The stadium and grounds extend over a total of 19 hectares. All raw materials of construction are recyclable and are made ​​exclusively in Taiwan. The energy created from the solar modules will be sold to the state electricity company. Stadiums for the World Games is the first stadium in the world that can be operated exclusively with extracted by solar energy.

After the Games, the stadium was the venue for some home games of the Taiwanese national football team.
