Natsagiin Bagabandi

Natsagiin Bagabandi (Mongolian Нацагийн Багабанди; born April 22, 1950 in Jaruu, Dsawchan Aimag ) is chairman of the Mongolian Revolutionary People's Party ( MPRP ).

Life

After he finished his secondary education in Uliastai Bagabandi studied from 1968 at the Technical University of Leningrad. From 1972 to 1975 he worked as a mechanic in the production of beer and vodka in Ulaanbaatar. In 1975 he began studying at the Institute of Food Technology and in 1980 was finally technology engineer. Since 1980, he actively participates in the policy of Mongolia, so he worked as an advocate and leader in the Central Department of the Central Committee of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party ( MPRP ) in the same year. In 1984 he resigned from his job and began studying philosophy at the Academy of Social Sciences in Moscow, where he graduated with a doctorate in 1985.

He was appointed a member of the Mongolian Parliament and became its Chairman in 1992. Chairman of the MPRP he's since 1996. From 1997 to 2005 he was head of state of Mongolia.
