Natsumi Abe

Natsumi Abe (Japanese安倍 なつみ, Natsumi Abe, born August 10, 1981 in Muroran, Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese J- pop singer and actress. She is best known as a founding member of idol girl group Morning Musume. Following her exit from the group in 2004, she was active as a soloist and is currently a member of the group Dream Morning Musume.

Biography

Abe was bullied at her middle school classmates. During this time, she heard the music of the group JUDY & MARY and made ​​the decision to become a singer. About the bullying and an eating disorder that she developed over time, Abe said in the television show Heart o Tsunagou (ハートをつなごう) in September 2009.

In 1997 she took part in the Asanyan casting to become a singer in the rock group Sharam Q. She came into the final round, losing to Michiyo Heike. Together with the other four finalists, she was given a second chance to appear in a newly formed group called Morning Musume. Abe quickly became an audience favorite and took over a large part of the song.

In 2003, she launched a solo career. Their first single, 22 -sai no watashi, with over 80,000 copies sold their most successful. In January 2004, she left Morning Musume, and brought a month later their first album. In December of the same year Abe was for a few months from Hello! Project suspended because they had taken some poems by other artists in her poetry book published in 2001 Natchi without mentioning this. In 2007 she was involved in a traffic accident in which she circumnavigated a motorcyclist when turning according to the police report. She left the Hello! Project together with a large part of the former soloists and older groups in March 2009. Among the agency UFP she continues her solo career, but focuses on activities as an actress, especially in the theater.

In 2011 she was part of the group Dream Morning Musume.
