Navigazione Generale Italiana

The Rubattino -Reederei ( official title: Navigazione Generale Italiana ) was one of the Genoese Raffaele Rubattino ( 1810-1881 ) in 1835, founded shipping company in Italy.

Since 1853 Rubattino also held shares in the Genoese shipbuilding company Ansaldo STS, which was also active in railway construction. Already in 1860, the company had shipped Garibaldi train the thousands to Palermo, after Rubattinos death they merged in 1882 in Rome with (1845, founded by a Calabrian industrialist family ) Florio Society of Palermo.

Colonial Society
