Nawino

Nawino ( German Naffin ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It belongs to the municipality Białogard in powiat Białogardzki.

Geographical location

Nawine is located six kilometers south of Białogard on the left bank of the Mogilica ( Muglitz ) near the railway Szczecin - Gdańsk. The nearest train station is Białogard. The village can be reached on a side road connection via Czarnowęsy ( Zarnefanz ).

History

Naffin, formerly the manor and farming village, also called Navin, was originally a fief of those of Hechthausen. End of the Thirty Years' War Henning Hechthausen was landowner, and lived in the village after widespread destruction, only 28 inhabitants.

By 1945, the agricultural village Gippe four kilometers located above the Muglitz belonged to the municipality Naffin. In 1817, Eckhard acquired from Liihe the 397 -acre estate Naffin, which went to the Justitiarrat Oscar Wilde from Naumburg (Saale ), 1887. His grandson Curt was the last owner before 1945.

1939 lived in the community comprehensive 682.2 hectares 224 people in 58 households. Most of them were engaged in the agricultural and forestry sectors.

Naffin belonged until 1945 to the district Belgard ( Persante ) and formed with communities Boissin, Ristow and Zarnefanz the Office Zarnefanz. This in turn belonged with the Office Grüssow to the civil registry district Lenzen. Court of jurisdiction was Belgard.

On March 7, 1945 Naffin and Gippe were occupied by Soviet troops. Mayor Hermann Scheiwe was shot. A few months later, the expulsion of the indigenous population began. Naffin became part of Poland and was a part of the community Nawino Białogard.

Church

Naffin was until 1945 part of the parish Zarnefanz, in turn, with the parishes Lenzen and Boissin formed the parish Lenzen. It was in the church Belgard county in Pomerania church of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union.

In 1940 the parish was one Lenzen 2019 church members, of which 570 belonged to the parish Zarnefanz ( with Naffin ).

Today Nawino belongs to Parafia Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

School

The school building is dated back to 1914. In it attended the primary school and a spacious attic apartment for the teacher were housed. In 1932, 21 children from Naffin visited the school while the children went from Gippe to class in the nearer Zarnefanz.
