NDR Fernsehen

NDR Fernsehen is the regional television program of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, which is produced in collaboration with Radio Bremen for the states of Hamburg, Mecklenburg -Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Schleswig -Holstein. The headquarters of the Directorate program, many editors as well as the transmission line is in Hamburg- Lokstedt.

History

On 4 January 1965, the NDR was launched together with Radio Bremen and the former Sender Freies Berlin (SFB ) with the charisma of a separate third television program, first as a " third television NDR / RB / SFB " (alternative used various other names, also briefly Nordkettenbahn called or north rail of the audience simply " the Third ") for the states of Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig -Holstein and Bremen and West Berlin.

In 1988 the Teletext offer Nordtext. At the beginning of 1989, the station was renamed N3 ( North or 3) and a new logo.

The program was developed to train train to a full program and can be received since the 1990s, and via satellite in most of Europe. On 1 January 1992, the state of Mecklenburg- Western Pomerania joined by State Treaty with the NDR as a fourth country. Thus, the transmission area of N3 is enlarged accordingly, but already in October 1992 retired from the SFB from the Third television N3, beaming after an independent third television program for Berlin under the name B1, a predecessor of the rbb television. This ensured N3 ( which at the same time called the " North German Television " received ) its current area of ​​distribution. On 3 December 2001, the program was renamed the NDR television. Productions of Radio Bremen were henceforth characterized for several years with the logo of Radio Bremen. Meanwhile, the NDR logo is used consistently.

On 3 January 2005, the Regional broadcasts of Radio Bremen, which have hitherto been the first broadcast within the Community program of ARD, were taken to a specially created program. Since then, these productions are running on a standalone third program, which is called Radio Bremen TV.

On 8 October 2007, a NDR Fernsehen its analog broadcasting via antenna.

On April 30, 2012, a HD simulcast in high-resolution format launched 720p.

On November 10, 2012, the NDR Television broadcasts for the first time the 18 -hour television documentary The Day of the North German in real time.
