Neal Fredericks

Leslie Neal Fredericks ( born July 24, 1969 in Newport Beach, California, † August 14 2004 in the Florida Keys) was an American cinematographer and producer.

Life

Born Neal L. Fredericks, who was nicknamed " Boogie", on July 24, 1969 in Newport Beach, California. After that, he lived alternately in Asia and Europe, until he was living in America after some time to study cinematography in Baltimore. In his last years he was settled in Los Angeles. His first film as cinematographer was the horror film Laughing Dead, which was filmed in 1998. His big break came with the film The Blair Witch Project ( although in the film, the footage should come from the three actors, Heather, Josh and Michael ) and Dreamers.

He was married from 1999 to 2003 with the Chinese Lu Ann.

He died just three weeks after his 35th birthday, in Florida, when he crashed a Cessna plane over the Florida Keys. He wanted to shoot the film Cross Bones.
