Neapolitan wafer

Neapolitan or Neapolitan waffles are a pastry made from wafers filled with hazelnut and cocoa cream. Alternatively, the waffles are also filled with nougat cream or milk.

Characteristic of the pastries are the multi-layer flat wafers with thin-layer cream fillings. The Neapolitans name comes from the fact that the hazelnuts came for the filling originally from Naples.
