Near Field Infrared Experiment ( NFIRE ) is a military satellite, which the USA has started on 24 April 2007 with a Minotaur - 1 from the Wallops Flight Facility on an orbit at 495 km altitude with 49 ° inclination.

Built by General Dynamics satellite has a launch mass of 494 kg, and is designed for a lifetime of two years.
