Nearshoring

The term Nahverlagerung or English nearshoring signifies a special form of offshoring and is from a Central European perspective, the shift in Eastern European countries. For North America, for example, Mexico and Brazil are Nearshoringziele.

Nearshoring offshoring is expected to reduce as staff costs, but reduce its disadvantages because of the greater cultural and geographical proximity with almost the same time zone.

First jobs from Central Europe were relocated to so-called low- wage countries in Eastern Europe. Due to the enlargement of the EU to non-EU countries, such as Ukraine are playing an increasingly important role.
