Neath Port Talbot

Neath Port Talbot ( Welsh: Castell- nedd Port Talbot ) is a principal area with the status of a county borough in South Wales. The administrative centers are the towns of Neath and Port Talbot. Neath Port Talbot is located in the thirteen traditional counties of Glamorgan.

Neath ( Welsh: Castell- nedd ) ( 46,000 inhabitants) located on the eponymous river ( Welsh: Afon Nedd ). The nearby village of Plas Cilybebyll was electrified as the first in Wales.

Port Talbot (about 36,000 inhabitants) is mainly influenced by the steel industry is settled, the coal mining and its major sea port. In recent years, the city experienced serious economic difficulties due to massive job cuts, v. a in the large steel mills.
