Nebahovy

Nebahovy ( German Nebahau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers east of Prachatice and belongs to Okres Prachatice.

Geography

Nebahovy is located northeast of Libín ( 1,095 m ) in the Bohemian Forest. The place is located creek on the ridge between the valleys of the Nebahov Živný and Zlatý Potok.

Neighboring towns are Žernovice and Vitějovice in the north, Vrbice in the northeast, and Kralovice Ratiborova Lhota in the east, in the southeast Lažišťka, Jelemek and Stary Bolech in the south, Prachatice and Zdenice in the west and Horejsi Chalupy and Dolejší Chalupy in the northwest.

History

Nebahovy was first documented in 1317. 1351 the village came to power Bavorov and was the Helfenburg submissive. After the Battle of White Mountain, Charles Bonaventure de Longueval received, Comte de Bucquoy 1620 the village and beat it to the reign Libějovice.

1839 the first school was established. After the replacement of patrimonial Nebahovy became an independent municipality and was in 1850 assigned to the judicial district Netolice. 1886, the site was transferred to the District Court in neighboring Prachatice and was between 1938 and 1945 again for the judicial district Nettolitz. After the school year 1986/87, only nine children attended the school, it was closed in 1987 and re-trained the students to Prachatice.

Mining

In Nebahovy earlier graphite mining was carried out. Since the graphite veins to be very low, however, there was a strong water access and drank from the pit. In September 1901, the Kollo witzer union shifted its mining operations by Kollo joke after Nebahau and teufte to reduce the lying here high quality graphite from a new shaft. In February 1902, the work had to be discontinued because the finances of the union were exhausted. At this time, the shaft has reached a depth of 20 m.

The municipality consists of the villages Nebahovy Jelemek ( Jelemka ) Kralovice ( claws ), Lažišťka ( Kleinlaschitz ) Nebahovy ( Nebahau ) and Zdeníce ( Sdenitz ).

  • 500 -year-old lime tree in Nebahovy, natural monument
  • Chapel in Nebahovy, built in 1902. In 2002 it was damaged by a fire and then repaired.
  • Stone bridge over the creek Zlatý, built between the 16th and 17th centuries.
