It was during the reigns of the Pharaohs Thutmose IV to Amenhotep III. active ( 1397 to 1351 / 50 BC ) and at the facilities of both tombs involved. He is known today primarily through his grave ( TT181 ) at Thebes, by its inscriptions and information has been handed down. The grave he shared with another sculptor named Ipuki, with whom he probably worked. Probably married Nebimen his widow and could therefore also equal to use its grave. Not even his wife is shown behind him thus, shown with Ipuki, but, unusually, his mother Tjepu. Whether he had also worked on their own grave, is unclear. The common grave is the last grave of artists on the official cemetery of Thebes, all subsequent artists Thebes were then in Deir el -Medina buried where the artisans who worked on the tombs, also lived. If the outline draftsman Hi was not Ipukis brother, but Neferhats son, he is Nebimens brother.
