Nebiryraw I

Nebirirau I, also Nebereraw (I.), Nebererau (I.), Nebiriau (I.), was an ancient Egyptian King (Pharaoh) of the Second Intermediate Period. Its exact position within this period is controversial.

Nebirirau I will with his own name in the Royal Canon of Turin ( column 11, line 5; counting after Ryholt ) called. He also appears in the list of kings of Karnak; here with his throne name. 1927 Stèle was found juridique at Karnak Temple, which dates from the first year of the king. She has the handing over of the Mayor's Office of Elkab from incumbent Kebesi to a Sobeknacht and his descendants to the content. It is the only monument on its full titulary appears.

There are by him a number of scarabs and a dagger from Diospolis parva, where also each his throne name appears. His throne name was also found on a statue of Harpocrates, however, dates from the late period. A small stele of the ruler, which shows him in front of Maat, is located in Bonn today.

The exact position of the ruler is disputed. The older research usually placed him in the 17th dynasty. Kim Ryholt considers him a ruler of the 16th Dynasty, which he defines as Theban dynasty.
