Nebojša Čović

Nebojsa Covic ( Serbian Cyrillic Небојша Човић; born July 2, 1958 in Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia) is a Serbian politician.

From 1994 to 1997 he was mayor of Belgrade. He belonged until 1997 to the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS ), then he moved into the camp of the opposition at the time, by the Demokratska Аlternativa founded with some more beaten from the PLC politicians and whose chairman was. From 2000 to 2001 he was one of three deputy prime ministers of the transitional government, which overthrew Slobodan Milošević and eventually Zoran Djindjic brought to power. After Djindjic's assassination in 2003 was Covic for a few days interim prime minister along with Dusan Mihajlovic.

Covic is also a former chairman of the Kosovo Coordination Centre and was chairman of the Coordination Centre for Southern Serbia during the KLA incidence in the Presevo Valley.

Covic is the owner of the basketball club FMP Železnik Belgrade.
