The Nierbach is a 10.1 km long, orographic left tributary of the Ruhr in North Rhine- Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis, Germany.

Geography

The Nierbach rises about 1.5 km northwest of Brabecke at an altitude of 600 m above sea level. NN. From here the Nierbach predominantly flows in a northerly direction. The village Blüggelscheidt is traversed before the creek to 274 m above sea level. NN left-hand side flows into the Ruhr.

On its way from the source to the mouth of the Nierbach overcomes a difference in altitude of 326 m, corresponding to an average bed slope of 32.3 ‰. It drains a 19.369 km ² large catchment area over the Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea.

Tributaries

The most important tributary of the Nierbachs is the 3.1 km long Berlarer Bach ( TVC: 2761346 ). Other tributaries are the Nier ( TVC: 2761342 ) with a length of 2.6 km and the Mosebollerbach ( TVC: 2761344, length 2.1 km ).
